While Autumn People can range from annoying to dangerous. Dauntain are nothing but dangerous.

Harbingers of Banality, most changelings expect them to be some lump of banality sent here with nothing more than the shear intent on extinguishing glamour where it can be found.

This could not be more wrong.

The Dauntain themselves are in fact Changelings. Changelings that have been some how corrupted by banality, falling victim to one of many of its traps. The banality sentences these would be, or even current changelings to a particular dark fate known as a "Doom".

Dooms

Apostates

Fervent in their own religious views, they believe themselves to be doing the work of good. By sending others into their undoing. Some how the wild, wide eyed and psychotic looking Apostate believes that in the hostile world filled with banality, glamour isn't meant to survive here, and that the way back to Arcadia (home of the Fae), and can be forced back there via the process of becoming undone. However with every changeling "saved", they grow more and more consumed by their own banality. To them however if these are the consequences, so be it.

Black Magicians

The dark and sinister Black Magician seek out banality as a means of power, understanding that even banality has influence over the dreaming world. However this power though potent, never is enough to satisfy them before it destroys them all together. However they feel that they are reaching their goal, with one more kithain undone, or one more freehold brought down around the pointed ears of their enemies. With a fae mien that brings shadows looming about them, and a hollow, chilly note to their voice, it isn't a wonder that even Sidhe Nobles shiver at their approach.

The Cursed

Changelings are creatures of passion. However passion can easily turn to rage and hate in the wrong situations. If the circumstances are right... or perhaps wrong, they may take on one of the most vile oaths of all fae oaths. The Oath of Undoing. This oath will send them down the path of banality, swearing vengeance against a set enemy and twisting their forms with sharp teeth, razor claws, and a menacing form. No road is too great, no distance too far, they will trade and eye for an eye with cold iron before it has all ended.

The Lost

The Lost fall to Banality by the simple denial of their fae nature. When Chrysalis comes, some Changelings are without anyone to help them through it, and thus may choose not to except it. Believing it to be a delusion, or drug induced. However when they keep seeing those lions who lick their paws in front of the local library, or strange beings who can do feats that no human can possibly do, they believe themselves gone insane. This causes them to seek out anything that is of glamour and snuff it out, in order to save themselves. Other changelings are just in the same delusional state they were in, and it is their job to "help" them see the light. They can be easily recognized by their gaunt and famine stricken look when in fae mein.

Nihilists

Nihilists tend to be totally unaware of the damage they cause, a hunter who does not actively hunt. Seeing the encroaching tide of banality, they simply give up hope. Having done this, they simply wait for the inevitable, falling deeper and deeper into despair, they slowly infect areas with banality by eating glamour. It draws into the changeling, filling that aching void that comes with hopelessness. As their despair grows, they grow smaller and smaller into their kith. There is a gloomy aura surrounds them that may depress others around, and an icy touch to their skin.

Typhoids

Typhoids differ from other Duantain in that they have been infected with Banality that more than often is the result of an others fault. Perhaps they were driven insane after a psychiatrist's treatment for their "insanity". Exposure to too many Autumn people, or perhaps a banal chimera. A splinter of cold iron could be festering somewhere in them, or even worse they could have become ghouled to a vampire. What ever the means of infection, it is most insidious and depending on the nature of the infection, the changeling's fae mein will change..

Stigma

Dauntain who are more strongly tied to their banal natures may have have a Stigma, things that manifest directly in their fae mein and provided them with a means in which to direct banality. This of course make them more affective in their job of ridding the world of glamour. Things such as being able to change Glamour to Banality, weaken chimera, even cause them to vanish, drain Changelings of their glamour, even to the point of ripping it from, no longer take damage from cold iron, or even destroy others emotions, however it too slowly eats away at them, bringing them closer and closer to their own undoing.
